Night Shift Supervisor

HOODZ of Kansas City is the local franchise of North America's largest commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning company — we clean the hoods, ducts, and rooftop fans that keep restaurants safe and fire-compliant. We're growing and looking for a Night Manager to own our overnight field operations across the Kansas City metro.

This is a leadership role. You'll oversee multiple crews simultaneously, set and maintain the quality standard, and solve problems in the field — all while building genuine relationships with the technicians you're responsible for developing.

Compensation & Benefits

• $24.00/hr starting | $26.00/hr after 90-day KPI review
• Up to $500/month performance bonus ($6,000/year)
• Referral commissions — 5% per new client contract, uncapped
• ~$82,100 on-target earnings annually

What You'll Do

• Visit 3+ active job sites per night — working alongside crews, coaching in real time, and verifying quality
• Manage the shop, crews, and any field issues as they arise
• Send a nightly After-Service Report to the management team before clocking out
• Lead weekly crew talks and a Friday management meeting update
• Conduct quarterly 1:1 reviews with Lead and Roof Techs to identify advancement opportunities
• Oversee compliance installs and keep job site records current in our field software

Who We're Looking For

The industry background doesn't need to be hood cleaning — the leadership does. We're most interested in candidates from roles like field crew supervisor, shift lead, service manager, construction foreman, military NCO, or restaurant kitchen manager.

The right person for this role leads from the front — they get their hands dirty alongside their team, not above them. They hold people to a standard without creating resentment. They make confident calls at midnight without needing to escalate routine decisions. They follow through on details without being reminded, and they take ownership of outcomes rather than explaining why something went wrong.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Available Sunday – Thursday nights (some Friday days)
• Able to pass background check and drug screen
• Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on rooftops
• 2+ years supervising a team in a hands-on environment

Hood cleaning experience is a plus but not required. We'll train the right leader.

The schedule is Sunday–Thursday nights, with shifts starting out of our Raytown, MO shop. Fridays and Saturdays are yours.
